As You Like It
In As You Like It, witty words and romance play out against the disputes of two divided pairs of siblings. Orlando's older brother, Oliver, treats him badly and refuses him his small inheritance from their father's estate. Furthermore, Oliver schemes to have Orlando die in a wrestling match. Meanwhile, Duchess Fredericka has forced her older sister, the Duchess Senior, into exile in the Forest of Arden.

The Duchess Senior's daughter, Rosalind, and Duchess Fredericka's daughter, Celia, meet the victorious Orlando at the wrestling match, at which time Orlando and Rosalind fall in love straight away. Banished by Duchess Fredericka, Rosalind and Celia decide to run away into the forest to seek out the Duchess Senior. Rosalind assumes the identity of a country boy and Celia that of a country girl. For their amusement, they bring along friend and fool, Touchstone.

After the wrestling match, Orlando flees Olivers murderous plots, running away into the Forest of Arden with his old nanny Anna in tow.

In the Forest of Arden, Rosalind, disguised as the boy Ganymede, forms a teasing friendship with Orlando. He (she!) claims to be able to cure Orlando of his desperate lovesickness. To do so, Orlando must pretend that he (she!) is his very own Rosalind and attempt to woo her to which he (she!) will prove un-winnable.

Join us for an evening of silliness and sentiment as we follow these young lovers from the court to the forest and find out who ends up with who!
